Funding Surgeries and Capacity Building Networks Meetings

Our Capacity Building Networks Meetings are held jointly with our funding surgeries. The meeting in March 2007 took place on Wednesday 28th at the Broad Green Community Centre in Swindon.  The Funding Surgery theme was the Abolition of the Slave Trade 2007 and therefore this attracted particular interest from the Heritage Lottery Fund who wished to support applications from the local BME community. The Learning Curve also attended and provided one to one funding support for the groups that attended.

We also undertook a further network meeting and funding surgery on 27th June 2007 in Bournemouth at the Moordown Community Centre.  Funders included The Learning Curve and Heritage lottery fund. The Director for Bournemouth Race Equality Council also provided a brief presentation on their organisation.

We have planned and advertised the following network meetings which will also double-up as funding surgeries for the BME sector in the region:
