Raising Aspiration & Attainment
CEMVO Southeast Regional Office has been awarded a contract by West Berkshire Council to run ‘Raising Aspirations & Attainment’ project. The Project aims to raise aspiration and attainment by delivering personal development programmes in: ICT, Basic Skills, and Job-search Skills focusing mainly on the BME communities but, also welcoming other communities requiring support who are mainly residing in the area of West Berkshire. CEMVO Southeast Regional Office hopes to support those who have been out of work or wish to enter/re-enter the labour market after a period of absence. The project will give an opportunity for those who require coaching in confidence, self-esteem, skills development and opportunities to gain employment opportunities.
The project will be delivered for 4 hours per week, focusing on individual learning needs. These needs will be identified by completing an Individual Learning Plan (ILP). This plan will register the learners interests, hobbies, past & current learning and employment history and expectations /achievements of the programme. The project will be open to all communities, who require support in developing their skills and qualifications.
CEMVO’s Interface project is an ambitious and innovative project funded by the Capacity Builders through their ChangeUp programme. The aim of the project is to enhance the access to capacity building and support for front-line organisations through infrastructure support that may not have been reached in previous ChangeUp programmes.
Between October 2007 and February 2008, the Southeast regional office will be undertaking a series of Advice & Guidance Surgeries on Tax credits.
