CEMVO in partnership with Sefton CVS took a lead on undertaking this consultation commissioned by ChangeUp Merseyside. The report highlights challenges, comments from participants, practical examples under each challenge and suggestions. The idea is that the report does not just raise issues but provide suggestions that are practical and achievable.

Consultation on the draft Commissioning and Diversity documents
CEMVO North West has been commissioned by Regional Offender Manager (ROM) to consult on its commissioning document, which places equality and diversity at the heart of the process. The deadline for submission is Monday, 8th of October 2007.

Learning Days for Senior Managers
In July 2007, CEMVO North West organised for two learning days in Liverpool. The topics were Conflict Resolution and Ethnic Minority Communities and Engagement with Hard to Reach Communities, funded by ChangeUP Merseyside. It was facilitated by Dr. Krishna Sarda and received extremely positive feedback.

North West BME 3rd Sector Partnership
The Partnership consists of 44 voluntary organisations that have successfully completed CEMVO’s Capacity Building programme and have obtained a Certificate of Achievement. In addition, all the 42 organisations going through the Interface Project have now also joined the Partnership. It has therefore over 80 organisations across the region. The aim of the Partnership is to share information, develop joint projects/funding bids and provide a voice to the sector.
