Council of Ethnic Minority Voluntary Sector Organisations

Our local knowledge of the London region is reflected in the wealth of information captured through the unique diagnostic toolkit used to assess, plan and engage each client organisation in a participatory process of continuous learning, skills and organisational development work.

CEMVO London Regional Office has successfully delivered capacity building work across the several London Boroughs including Haringey, Lambeth, Waltham Forest, Tower Hamlet, Brent, Camden, Newham, Redbridge, Bexley and Southwark. In London alone, our capacity building programme has been responsible for raising over £3,897,000 for over 51 organisations over the last two years. In these Boroughs CEMVO officers have successfully worked with local community and voluntary sector (CVS) members and Community Empowerment networks to address existing and emerging needs of new and small groups as well as the well established organisations.

Our officers have worked with various local CVS’s, Community Empowerment Networks and Local Strategic Partnerships in engaging local communities and improving their effectiveness. In Haringey, our officer has successfully worked with the local CVS, Haringey Association of Voluntary Community Organisations (HAVCO) and raised over £600,000 for its local members over two years.
