  • Database: CEMVO London Regional Office has established a database of the minority ethnic voluntary and community sector; having gathered information from one-to-one visits to over 180 minority ethnic organisations across London, spanning such diverse ethnic groups as Somali,  Bangladeshi, Pakistani, Hindu, Muslim, Chinese, African, Refugees and Asylum seekers; covering activities such as health, education, housing and employment; and catering for the specific needs of groups as varied as young people, women, the elderly, the disabled and faiths communities.
  • Capacity Building Programme: established its Capacity Building Programme and currently over 80 organisations have been capacity built across London in the past 2 years
  • Funding Surgeries: London Regional Office have been running funding surgeries in the past 2 years and have invited funders from Big Lottery, The City Bridge Trust, Capital FM, City Parochial and other charitable trusts to inform BME voluntary organisations about there funding process and funding opportunities which they can apply to operate effectively with the necessary resource. There are currently over 6 funding surgeries planned for year 2007-08.
  • Working with East London CSV: London Regional Office is currently working with Barking & Dagenham, Newham Voluntary council consortium, Waltham Forest CVS and other east London boroughs CVS by giving a one to one support for voluntary organisations by assisting organisations on there funding applications, capacity building and other organisational development issues.
