CEMVO’s INTERFACE PROJECT is an ambitious and innovative project funded by the Capacity Builders through their ChangeUp programme. The aim of the project is to enhance the access to capacity building and support for front-line organisations through infrastructure support that may not have been reached in previous ChangeUp programmes.


The initiative is aimed at,

  • Black and minority ethnic (BME) groups
  • Refugee and migrant groups
  • Faith groups
  • Isolated rural groups

Key objectives of this project,

  • Enhance the interface between existing infrastructure providers and frontline organisations
  • Enhance a joined up approach-between Infrastructure and frontline organisations
  • Support frontline organisations to deliver public services
  • Promote good practices through benchmarking exercises

A key component of the INTERFACE project is comparative benchmarking.
Benchmarking is a process of comparing performance and practices among organisations so that they can attain hightest standards and provide services to their community. The project focuses on four areas of Benchmarking:

  • Management and leadership
  • Volunteer and workforce development
  • Participation
  • ICT development

Through Benchmarking, the INTERFACE projects aims to promote Peer Group Learning to improve and adapt on the above areas.The Interface project operates in 4 regions of England.
